1)How does your product present particular social groups?
My media product presents particular social groups as being fun, outgoing and sociable by having a college student on the cover shows they are academic, this is also done by presenting a 'freshers party' and gossip that students talk about but it also shows them to be hard working and determined by showing that students are doing resits to secure a better future. It also shows them to be in a good appropriate environment. By having a picture showing a student smiling and in their own clothes and holding books for studying it portrays them to be comfortable but also enjoying their lessons.
2)What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?
A particular media institution that may distribute my media product could be IPC because they create and produce the magazine and music shops and super markets distribute them such as 'tesco' and 'HMV' basically places where young people may go and see these kind of magazines.
3)Who would the audience be for your media product?
The audience for my media product is aimed at students in their last year of school and students at college and also for some of the students parents to have an in look on colleges.
4)How did you attract/address your audience?
I attracted my audience by using a simple but bright colour scheme, and also using little but straight to the point sell lines with a big colourful eye catching masthead. I have also attracted them by using a image of a college student in their own clothes in a suitable environment to show that they are happy and comfortable.
5)What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?
To create my media product I used a digital camera to take the main image on the page and I also used photo shop to edit, create my product and to also make my product look more professional. From using this I learnt how to use all the effects on the camera and I also learnt how to edit and minipulate photos on photo shop such as using lighting and cropping and also contrasting colours.
